Verge & Garden Competition 2012

The Airport City Improvement District’s objective is to secure a clean and safe working environment for all workers within the CID Airport area.

 For 2012, the CID decided to implement a quarterly VERGE and GARDEN competition whereby frontages of companies will be monitored and evaluated according to a rating scale. 

 The winner will have the benefit of having the plaque in their reception area until the next quarter. The winner is also presented with a gift from the CID.

 The CID would like to urge all companies who are able to do a frontage lay out with flower beds, etc, to do so and take part in this competition. Those companies who are unable to partake due to space, our gratitude goes to you for keeping your area clean and tidy.   

 Many Thanks to all those who are helping to improve Airport by keeping our environment clean and tidy.

The final award in our Verge & Garden Competition for the year goes to Extra Attic. Manager Gail Welp received the award on behalf of Extra Attic.

Verge and Garden Competition Winners Announced

The CID would like to congratulate Daliff as the winner of our February – April 2013 verge/garden competition. Director Rowland Chute received the award.

 The Airport City Improvement District’s objective is to secure a clean and safe working environment for all workers within the CID Airport area.

We have therefore decided to implement a bi-monthly verge/garden competition whereby frontages of companies are monitored and evaluated according to a rating scale. 

 The winning company will have the benefit of having the plaque in their reception area for the period February until end April 2013.

The CID would like to urge all companies who are able to do a frontage lay out with trees, flower bedding’s, etc, to do so and take part in this competition. Those companies who are unable to partake due to space, our gratitude goes to you for keeping your area clean and tidy.

2015 

Various Projects were done by The City, Telkom, Neotell, Vodacom and Eskom and as a result verges were dug up. .

Verges were not looking good during the work and rehabilitation period.

The CID could not award the trophy to any specific verge from February 2015 to date.
